In the sail making industry since 1987 and designing since 1993, I've drawn more than 10,000 sails - 70% cruising, 30% racing - for every type of boat, from classic gaff rigs and tall ships to IMOCA and BOC Challenge, Design is done with SMAR Azure and Sailpack.
Most sails come in 4 shape styles according to size, with cross-cut, radial-cut or fibre-layout construction and fully customizable details (reefs, patches, draft stripes). Every design is exported in NTV or DXF AAMA, plus a PDF with panel dimensions.
